The traffic police will be on alert in the crowded days leading to Nowruz or the New Year (March 21). Tehran Traffic Police Chief, Brigadier General Teymoor Hosseini said his forces “will have a wide presence on Chaharshanbe Suri (fire festival) and will deal with drivers who violate traffic rules on this night.” He added that restrictions such as entering restricted traffic zones will be relaxed during the Nowruz holidays, ISNA reports.
