NATO Deputy Secretary-General Alexander Vershbow said “large numbers” of Russian troops are dying while fighting alongside pro-Russian rebels in eastern Ukraine, BBC reported. Vershbow said that the conflict is beginning to lose support in Russia, “especially as Russian leaders are less and less able to conceal the fact that Russian soldiers are fighting—and dying—in large numbers.” Moscow denies troops presence in east Ukraine.
