Chinese firms have priced out European companies that had intended to bid to build Kuwait’s new international airport, with several pulling out of the tender process, Kuwait Times has reported. The new airport is planned to have a capacity of 25m passengers, more than tripling the current facility’s capacity of 8m, and cost $6b to build.
