Boosting Investment Key to Kish Economy

The managing director of Kish Free Zone Organization, Ali Asghar Mounesan, said on Saturday boosting business on the island is key to the implementation to the resistance economy, according to KFZO’s PR department.

The KFZO director said currently 29 infrastructure projects are underway on the island with about $1.7 billion in investment so far invested. “This will attract people to the island in the coming years,” he added.

Mounesan made the comments whilst attending 8th hospitality and related industries exhibition currently being held on Kish Island.

Kish along with other free zones has stepped up both local and international investment in recent years, as part of the wider policy of the Rouhani administration following the call for building a resistance economy by the leader of the Islamic Republic Ayatollah Khamenei.
