Tehran Stock Exchange's main index, TEDPIX, gained 43,085.10 points or 2.20% on Tuesday to end at 1,999,719.93 and the TSE equal-weighted index jumped 2.24%.
About 11.67 billion shares worth 78.18 trillion rials ($173.74 million) changed hands for the day. Trading at TSE and over-the-counter Iran Fara Bourse starts on Saturday and ends Wednesday.
Ma Insurance Company led the winner’s list as its shares jumped 7% to 3,638 rials per share.
Pars Electric Manufacturing Company was the big loser among all TSE-listed companies plunging 8.28% to 108,400 rials per share.
Nouri Petrochemical Company had the most negative impact on the main index, followed by Tabriz Oil Refining Company, Pars Petrochemical Company and Bahman Group Company.
Mobarakeh Steel Company gave the biggest boost to the benchmark index, followed by National Iranian Copper Industries Company, Social Security Investment Company and Mellat Bank.
IFX Up 2.25%
Iran Fara Bourse main index IFX gained 581.63 points or 2.25% to close Tuesday at 26,387.26.
About 5.77 billion securities worth 42.61 trillion rials ($94.7 million) were traded at the over-the-counter exchange for the day.
Day Bank had the highest number of traded shares at 931.88 million worth 1.11 trillion rials ($2.47 million).
Kowsar Industries and Mines Development Company was in the lead in terms of growth among all IFB-listed companies climbing 9.15% to reach 25,650 rials per share.
The big loser was Tadbirgaran Fars and Khuzestan Investment Company plunging 5.26% to reach 33,300 rials per share.
Maadiran Industries Company, Zagros Kosar Electricity Generation Management Company, Marun Petrochemical Company and Tadbirgaran Fars and Khuzestan Investment Company had the most negative impact on IFX.
Arya Sasol Polymer Company gave the biggest boost to IFX, followed by Sepehr Saderat Financial Group Investment Company, Iran Khodro Diesel Company and Saba Tamin Investment Company.
