    Q1 Mineral Exports From Bushehr Hit $16 Million

    A total of 371,332 tons of minerals and mining products worth $16 million were exported from Bushehr Province during the first quarter of the current Iranian year (started March 21), according to Ali Soleimani, a local customs official.

    The exports mainly included cement and clinker, coal, chalk, glass and construction stone, ceramics and tiles, stone powder and different kinds of mosaics and bricks.

    Persian Gulf Arab countries were the main destinations of these exports, IRNA reported.

    Bushehr Province has a 937-kilometer coastline alongside the Persian Gulf.

    The namesake port, the main marine transportation facility in the province, has the capacity to handle 7 million tons of goods per year and could host vessels weighing over 30,000 tons.

    The port offers services for bulk, containerized, general and petrochemical cargos, refrigerated products, raw materials, storage and processing of various commodities and passengers, according to the Ports and Maritime Organization of Iran.
