Tehran Stock Exchange's main index, TEDPIX, gained 26,028.76 points or 1.21% on Monday to end at 2,183,405.94.
The TSE equal-weighted index gained 1.12%.
About 10.46 billion shares worth 78.61 trillion rials ($174.7 million) changed hands for the day. Trading at TSE and over-the-counter Iran Fara Bourse starts on Saturday and ends Wednesday.
Behshahr Industrial Development Cleanser Industry Management Company led the winners’ list, as its shares jumped 6.58% to 23,470 rials per share.
Saipa Glass Company was the big loser among all TSE-listed companies, plunging 4.56% to 51,690 rials per share.
Mellat Bank contributed the most to the benchmark's fall, followed by Ghadir Investment Company, Mobin Energy Persian Gulf Company and Post Bank of Iran.
Mobarakeh Steel Company gave the biggest boost to the benchmark index, followed by Persian Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company, Bandar Abbas Oil Refining Company and the National Iranian Copper Industries Company.
IFX Gains 0.94%
Iran Fara Bourse’s main index IFX gained 264.25 points or 0.94% to close Monday at 28,265.8.
About 8.76 billion securities worth 2,566.95 trillion rials ($5.7 billion) were traded at the over-the-counter exchange for the day.
Day Bank had the highest number of traded shares at 653.67 million worth 906.11 billion rials ($2.01 million).
Tuka Paint Foolad Sepahan Company was in the lead in terms of growth among all IFB-listed companies, climbing 6.99% to reach 26,800 rials per share.
The big loser was Sepidar System Asia Company, dipping 5.47% to reach 91,650 rials per share.
Arya Sasol Polymer Company, Sepidar System Asia Company, Pasargad Oil Company and Iran Khodro Diesel Company had the most negative impact on IFX.
Gohar Zamin Iron Ore Company gave the biggest boost to IFX, followed by Shahid Tondgooyan Petrochemical Company, Hormozgan Steel Company and Zagros Petrochemical Company.
