Tehran Stock Exchange's main index, TEDPIX, gained 42,218.88 points or 1.81% on Tuesday to end at 2,368,712.32.The TSE equal-weighted index was up 1.68%.
About 21.3 billion shares worth 164.87 trillion rials ($366.38 million) changed hands for the day. Trading at TSE and over-the-counter Iran Fara Bourse starts on Saturday and ends Wednesday.
Razi Glass Company led the winner’s list as its shares jumped 16.99% to 1,907 rials per share.
Iran Tire Company was the big loser among all TSE-listed companies plunging 5.99% to 3,157 rials per share.
Islamic Republic of Iran Shipping Lines Company contributed the most to the benchmark's fall, followed by Ghadir Investment Company, Tamin Cement Investment Company and Karafarin Bank.
Golgohar Mining and Industrial Company gave the biggest boost to the benchmark index, followed by National Iranian Copper Industries Company, Persian Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company and Mobarakeh Steel Company.
IFX Climbs 1.59%
Iran Fara Bourse main index IFX rose 462.64 points or 1.59% to close Tuesday at 29,518.27.
About 13.81 billion securities worth 432.58 trillion rials ($961.3 million) were traded at the over-the-counter exchange for the day.
Day Bank had the highest number of traded shares at 1.87 billion worth 2.64 trillion rials ($5.87 million).
Khazar Caspian Wood Industry Company was in the lead in terms of growth among all IFB-listed companies climbing 6.98% to reach 60,550 rials per share.
The big loser was Pegah Golestan Dairy Company plunging 4.92% to reach 23,200 rials per share.
Tajali Mines and Metals Development Company, Bahman Diesel Company, Damavand Power Generation Company and Alborz Distribution Company had the most negative impact on IFX.
Marun Petrochemical Company gave the biggest boost to IFX, followed by Shahid Tondgooyan Petrochemical Company, Saba Tamin Investment Company and Entekhab Electronic Arman Industrial Group Company.
