Tehran Stock Exchange's main index, TEDPIX, lost 1,304.57 points or 0.06% on Wednesday to end at 2,324,132.69. The TSE equal-weighted index gained 0.54%.
About 19.99 billion shares worth 157.02 trillion rials ($348.94 million) changed hands for the day. Trading at TSE and over-the-counter Iran Fara Bourse starts on Saturday and ends Wednesday.
Persian Gulf Petrochemical Industries Development and Investment Group Company led the winner’s list as its shares jumped 10.4% to 2,601 rials per share.
Goltash Company was the big loser among all TSE-listed companies plunging 6.08% to 8,030 rials per share.
National Iranian Copper Industries Company contributed the most to the benchmark's fall, followed by Chadormalu Mining And Industrial Company, Mobarakeh Steel Company and Persian Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company.
Middle East Mines and Mineral Industries Development Holding Company gave the biggest boost to the benchmark index, followed by Islamic Republic of Iran Shipping Lines Company, Golgohar Mining and Industrial Company and Persian Gulf Petrochemical Industries Development and Investment Group Company.
IFX Falls 0.34%
Iran Fara Bourse main index IFX lost 100.61 points or 0.34% to close Wednesday at 29,207.93.
About 14.62 billion securities worth 525.82 trillion rials ($1.16 billion) were traded at the over-the-counter exchange for the day.
Day Bank had the highest number of traded shares at 3.01 billion worth 3.92 trillion rials ($8.7 million). Jahrom Power Plant Development Company was in the lead in terms of growth among all IFB-listed firms climbing 7.48% to reach 3,549 rials per share.
The big loser was Parsian Railway Transport Development Company plunging 6.3% to reach 69,950 rials per share.
Zagros Petrochemical Company, Arya Sasol Polymer Company, Iran Khodro Diesel Company and Marun Petrochemical Company had the most negative impact on IFX.
Day Bank gave the biggest boost to IFX, followed by Iranol Oil Company, Sepehr Saderat Financial Group Investment Company and Jahrom Power Plant Development Company.
