    Shares Mostly Fall

    Tehran Stock Exchange's main index, TEDPIX, lost 33,562.5 points or 1.84% on Saturday to end at 1,788,209.18. The TSE equal-weighted index was down 0.91%.

    About 13.66 billion shares worth 90.53 trillion rials ($201.17 million) changed hands for the day. Trading at TSE and over-the-counter Iran Fara Bourse starts on Saturday and ends Wednesday.

    Nirou Trans Company led the winner’s list as its shares jumped 6.97% to 3,377 rials per share. Negin Tabas Coal Company was the big loser among all TSE-listed companies plunging 6.78% to 18,840 rials per share.

    Mobarakeh Steel Company contributed the most to the benchmark's fall, followed by National Iranian Copper Industries Company, Persian Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company and Golgohar Mining and Industrial Company.

    The MAPNA Group gave the biggest boost to the benchmark index, followed by National Development Investment Group Company, Iran Khodro Company and Bank Pasargad.

     

    IFX Falls 1.25%

    Iran Fara Bourse main index IFX lost 288.08 points or 1.25% to close Saturday at 22,719.

    About 6.79 billion securities worth 361.77 trillion rials ($803.94m) were traded at the over-the-counter exchange for the day.

    Day Bank had the highest number of traded shares at 604.61 million worth 489.57 billion rials ($1.08m). Chlor Pars Company was in the lead in terms of growth among all IFB-listed companies climbing 19.2% to reach 53,400 rials per share.

    The big loser was Pouya Zarkan Agh Darreh Company plunging 6.29% to reach 35,000 rials per share.

    Arya Sasol Polymer Company, Hormozgan Steel Company, Iranian Ghadir Iron and Steel Company and Arfa Iron and Steel Company had the most negative impact on IFX.

    Chlor Pars gave the biggest boost to IFX, followed by Sirjan Jahan Steel Complex, MAPNA Asaluyeh Power Generation Company and Sarcheshmeh Copper Investment Company.
