    Shares Slump

    Tehran Stock Exchange's main index, TEDPIX, lost 16,348.23 points or 0.89% on Wednesday to end at 1,821,771.06 and the TSE equal-weighted index dipped 0.17%.

    About 16.75 billion shares worth 102.45 trillion rials ($227.67 million) changed hands for the day. Trading at TSE and over-the-counter Iran Fara Bourse starts on Saturday and ends Wednesday.

    Glucosan Company led the winning group as its shares jumped 9.51% to 4,008 rials per share. Khazar Cement Company was the big loser among all TSE-listed companies plunging 6.04% to 32,660 rials per share.

    Mobarakeh Steel Company contributed the most to the benchmark's fall, followed by Social Security Investment Company, National Iranian Copper Industries Company and Bandar Abbas Oil Refining Company.

    Chadormalu Mining And Industrial Company gave the biggest boost to the benchmark index, followed by MAPNA Group, the Telecommunication Company of Iran and National Development Investment Group.

     

    IFX Loses 0.15%

    Iran Fara Bourse main index IFX lost 33.8 points or 0.15% to close Wednesday at 23,007.08.

    About 8.71 billion securities worth 374.36 trillion rials ($831.92m) were traded at the over-the-counter exchange for the day.

    Day Bank had the highest number of traded shares at 720.21 million worth 601.84 billion rials ($1.33m).

    Iranian Zinc Industrial Expansion Company was in the lead in terms of growth among IFB-listed companies climbing 6.99% to reach 6,226 rials per share.

    The big loser was Railways Installation Engineering Services Company falling 4.95% to reach 34,550 rials per share.

    Iranian Ghadir Iron and Steel Company, Arfa Iron and Steel Company, Zagros Petrochemical Company and Hormozgan Steel Company had the most negative impact on IFX.

    Gohar Zamin Iron Ore Company gave the biggest boost to IFX, followed by Entekhab Electronic Arman Industrial Group Company, Damavand Power Generation Company and Minoo Industrial Group Company.
