Tehran Stock Exchange's main index, TEDPIX, gained 65,154.31 points or 4.09% on Tuesday to end at 1,659,416.45. The TSE equal-weighted index climbed 2.82%.
About 18.7 billion shares worth 115.4 trillion rials ($256.4 million) changed hands for the day. Trading at TSE and over-the-counter Iran Fara Bourse starts on Saturday and ends Wednesday.
Mellat Bank led the winner’s list as its shares jumped 7.13% to 2,764 rials per share. Technotar Engineering Company was the big loser among all TSE-listed companies plunging 3.81% to 12,610 rials per share.
Dashtestan Cement Industries Company had the highest negative impact on the market, followed by Iran Construction Investment Company, Osve Pharmaceutical Company and Glucosan Company.
Mobarakeh Steel Company gave the biggest boost to the benchmark index, followed by National Iranian Copper Industries Company, Persian Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company and Esfahan Oil Refining Company.
IFX Adds 2.9%
Iran Fara Bourse main index IFX gained 604.77 points or 2.93% to close Tuesday at 21,279.8.
About 7.76 billion securities worth 147.94 trillion rials ($328.75 trillion) were traded at the over-the-counter exchange for the day.
Day Bank had the highest number of traded shares at 636.77 million worth 526.3 billion rials ($1.17 million).
Kish Parsian Electronic Commerce Company was in the lead in terms of growth among all IFB-listed companies climbing 7% to reach 9,630 rials per share. The big loser was Yazd Faranasooz Company plunging 4.08% to reach 8,940 rials per share.
Alborz Distribution Company, Gohar Tarabar Sirjan Transportation Company, Pakdis Company and Kowsar Insurance Company had the most negative impact on IFX.
Arya Sasol Polymer Company gave the biggest boost to IFX, followed by Gohar Zamin Iron Ore Company, Pasargad Insurance Company and Hormozgan Steel Company.
