    Stocks Plunge After Big Gains 

    Tehran Stock Exchange's main index, TEDPIX, lost 56,819.18 points or 3.45% on Saturday to end at 1,590,495.45. The TSE equal-weighted index followed suit plunging 2.43%. The huge losses come on the heels of rare rallies seen last week.  

    About 15.62 billion shares worth 87.2 trillion rials ($300.7 million) changed hands for the day. Trading at TSE and over-the-counter Iran Fara Bourse starts on Saturday and ends Wednesday.

    Parsian Electronic Commerce Company was the winningest as its shares jumped 6.87% to 3,034 rials per share.

    Industry and Mine Leasing Company was the main loser among all TSE-listed companies plunging 6.99% to 4,101 rials per share.

    Mobarakeh Steel Company contributed the most to the benchmark's fall, followed by Golgohar Mining and Industrial Company, National Iranian Copper Industries Company and Persian Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company.

    MAPNA Group Company gave the big boost to the benchmark index, followed by Lotus Parsian Investment Bank, Darou Pakhsh Pharmaceutical Company and Iran Aluminium Company.

     

     

    IFX Falls 1.43%

    Iran Fara Bourse main index IFX lost 290.96 points or 1.43% to close Saturday at 20,126.45. About 7.4 billion securities worth 81.02 trillion rials ($279.38m) were traded at the over-the-counter exchange for the day.

    Day Bank had the highest number of traded shares at 713.5 million worth 496.34 billion rials ($1.7m).

    Parsian Railway Transport Development Company was in the lead in terms of growth among all IFB-listed companies climbing 6.97% to reach 42,950 rials per share.

    The big loser was Shirvan Quchan And Bojnourd Sugar Company plunging 6.64% to reach 6,890 rials per share.

    Arya Sasol Polymer Company, Zagros Petrochemical Company, Saba Tamin Investment Company and Shahid Tondgooyan Petrochemical Company had the most negative impact on IFX.

    Pasargad Insurance Company gave the biggest boost to IFX, followed by Gohar Zamin Iron Ore Company, Omid Taban Hour Energy Management Company and Bahman Diesel Company.
