Tehran Stock Exchange's main index, TEDPIX, lost 2,827.70 points or 0.19% on Saturday to end at 1,469,933.21. The TSE equal-weighted index gained 0.63%.
About 7.84 billion shares worth 48.75 trillion rials ($168.1 million) changed hands for the day. Trading at TSE and over-the-counter Iran Fara Bourse starts on Saturday and ends Wednesday.
Shomal Cement Company led the winner’s list as its shares jumped 6.97% to 10,430 rials per share. Iran Zinc Mines Development Company was the big loser plunging 4.25% to 23,640 rials per share.
Mobarakeh Steel Company contributed the most to the benchmark's fall, followed by Esfahan Oil Refining Company, National Iranian Copper Industries Company and Golgohar Mining and Industrial Company.
Persian Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company gave the biggest boost to the benchmark index, followed by Mellat Bank, Parsian Bank and Bank Saderat.
IFX Flat
Iran Fara Bourse main index IFX lost 0.53 points to close Saturday at 18,857.87.
About 5.86 billion securities worth 48.6 trillion rials ($167.6 m) were traded at the over-the-counter exchange for the day.
Day Bank had the highest number of traded shares at 745.25 million worth 482.9 billion rials ($1.66m).
Dena Afarin Fadak Food Preparation and Distribution Company was in the lead in terms of growth among all IFB-listed companies climbing 6.97% to reach 17,180 rials per share.
The big loser was Mobin One Kish Company plunging 3.37% to reach 16,610 rials per share.
Pasargad Insurance Company, Lavan Oil Refining Company, Iranian Ghadir Iron and Steel Company and Shahid Tondgooyan Petrochemical Company had the most negative impact on IFX.
Damavand Power Generation Company gave the biggest boost to IFX, followed by Iran Fara Bourse, Tajali Mines and Metals Development Company and Day Bank.
