Tehran Stock Exchange's main index, TEDPIX, showed some sign of recovery Tuesday gaining 45,127.56 points or 3.20% to end at 1,454,483.03. The TSE equal-weighted index gained 2.32%.
About 14.64 billion shares worth 86.27 trillion rials ($297.5 million) changed hands for the day. Trading at TSE and over-the-counter Iran Fara Bourse starts on Saturday and ends Wednesday.
Iran Zinc Mines Development Company led the winner’s list as its shares jumped 6.94% to 23,280 rials per share.
Middle East Mines and Mineral Industries Development Holding Company was the big loser among all TSE-listed companies plunging 1.74% to 11,290 rials per share.
Middle East Mines and Mineral Industries Development Holding Company contributed the most to the benchmark's fall, followed by Pakshoo Industrial Group Company, Vehicle Axle Manufacturing Company and Darab Cement Company.
Persian Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company gave the biggest boost to the benchmark index, followed by Mobarakeh Steel Company, National Iranian Copper Industries Company and Parsian Oil and Gas Development Group Company.

Iran Fara Bourse main index IFX gained 218.74 points or 1.18% to close Tuesday at 18,820.61.
About 5.56 billion securities worth 111.81 trillion rials ($385.56m) were traded at the over-the-counter exchange for the day.
Day Bank had the highest number of traded shares at 590.56 million worth 374.9 billion rials ($1.29 million).
Dena Afarin Fadak Food Preparation and Distribution Company was in the lead in terms of growth among all IFB-listed companies climbing 6.99% to reach 15,010 rials per share.
The big loser was Pasargad Insurance Company plunging 4.75% to reach 21,050 rials per share.
Pasargad Insurance Company, Marun Petrochemical Company, Minoo Industrial Group Company and Artawheel Tire Industrial Complex had the most negative impact on IFX.
Arya Sasol Polymer Company gave the biggest boost to IFX, followed by Zagros Petrochemical Company, Saba Tamin Investment Company and Shahid Tondgooyan Petrochemical Company.
