Tehran Stock Exchange's main index, TEDPIX, lost 6,573.46 points or 0.47% on Wednesday to end at 1,402,830.41. The TSE equal-weighted index climbed 0.21%.
About 10.22 billion shares worth 55.61 trillion rials ($191.78 million) changed hands for the day. Trading at TSE and over-the-counter Iran Fara Bourse starts on Saturday and ends Wednesday.
Rena Industrial Group Investment Company led the winner’s list as its shares jumped 6.89% to 6,670 rials per share. Bank Pasargad was the big loser among all TSE-listed companies plunging 6.06% to 5,580 rials per share.
Middle East Mines and Mineral Industries Development Holding Company contributed the most to the benchmark's fall, followed by Pasargad Bank, National Iranian Copper Industries Company and Mobarakeh Steel Company.
Persian Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company gave the biggest boost to the benchmark index, followed by Iran Khodro Company, Saipa Automaker Company and National Development Investment Group Company.
IFX Falls 0.25%
Iran Fara Bourse main index IFX lost 47.41 points or 0.25% to close Wednesday at 18,563.53.
About 4.78 billion securities worth 83.04 trillion rials ($286.36m) were traded at the over-the-counter exchange for the day.
Day Bank had the highest number of traded shares at 206.67 million worth 124.44 billion rials ($429,113).
Novin Insurance Company was in the lead in terms of growth among all IFB-listed companies climbing 6.77% to reach 1,593 rials per share.
The big loser was Iranian Zinc Industrial Expansion Company plunging 5.34% to reach 6,210 rials per share.
Arya Sasol Polymer Company, Zagros Petrochemical Company, Pasargad Insurance Company and Shiraz Oil Refining Company had the most negative impact on IFX.
Minoo Industrial Group Company gave the biggest boost to IFX, followed by Iranian Ghadir Iron and Steel Company, Iran Cultural Heritage and Tourism Investment Group Company and Razi Distribution Company.
