Tehran Stock Exchange main index, TEDPIX, gained 11,739.16 points or 0.83% on Saturday to end at 1,426,095.96.
About 9.29 billion shares worth 58.65 trillion rials ($202.24 million) changed hands for the day. Trading at TSE and over-the-counter Iran Fara Bourse starts on Saturday and ends Wednesday.
Behshahr Industrial Development Company led the winning side as its shares shot up 6.98% to 2,406 rials.
Shazand Petrochemical Company was the big loser among all TSE-listed companies plunging 5.59% to 32,770 rials.
Shazand Petrochemical Company contributed the most to the benchmark's fall, followed by Bank Mellat, Iran Khodro, Saipa and the Bahman Group (three carmakers).
National Iranian Copper Industries Company gave the biggest boost to the benchmark index, followed by Chadormalu Mining and Industrial Company, Mobarakeh Steel Company and Tehran Oil Refining Company.
IFX Up 0.65%
Iran Fara Bourse main index IFX gained 119.93 points or 0.65% to close Saturday at 18,541.53. About 5.26 billion securities worth 96.22 trillion rials ($331.8m) were traded at the over-the-counter exchange for the day.
Day Bank had the highest number of traded shares at 572.17 million worth 371.35 trillion rials ($1.28 million).
Dena Afarin Fadak Food Preparation and Distribution Company led the growth camp of IFB-listed companies climbing 7% to reach 10,700 rials per share.
The big loser was Taavon Insurance Company falling 4.17% to reach the 1,607 rials per share.
Takhte Jamshid Petrochemical Industries Company, Lavan Oil Refining Company, Sepehr Saderat Financial Group Investment Company and Sabzevar Lar Cement Company had the most negative impact on IFX.
Arya Sasol Polymer Company gave the biggest boost to IFX, followed by Iranian Ghadir Iron and Steel Company, Minoo Industrial Group Company and Pouya Zarkan Agh Darreh Company.
