Tehran stocks jumped higher on Monday for the seventh day in a row. Tehran Stock Exchange main index, TEDPIX, gained 45,076.24 points or 3.35% to end at 1,389,752.61.
About 11.47 billion shares worth 65.46 trillion rials ($225.75 million) changed hands for the day. Trading at TSE and over-the-counter Iran Fara Bourse starts on Saturday and ends Wednesday.
Industry and Trade Development Investment Company led the winners’ side as its shares shot up 15.78% to 1,849 rials per share.
Pars National Agro-Industry and Animal Husbandry Company was the big loser among all TSE-listed companies plunging 2.56% to 61,720 rials per share.
Pars National Agro-Industry and Animal Husbandry Company contributed the most to the benchmark's fall, followed by Novin Investment Bank, Alborz Cable Company and One and One Food Industry Company.
National Iranian Copper Industries Company gave the biggest boost to the benchmark index, followed by Mobarakeh Steel Company, Persian Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company and Parsian Oil and Gas Development Group Company.
IFX 2.22% Higher
Iran Fara Bourse main index IFX also gained 395.54 points or 2.22% to close Monday at 18,230.97. About 6.05 billion securities worth 1,402.88 trillion rials ($4.83 billion) were traded at the over-the-counter exchange for the day.
Day Bank had the highest number of traded shares at 381.3 million worth 242.12 billion rials ($834,917).
Atrin Nakh Qom Company was in the lead in terms of growth among all IFB-listed companies climbing 6.99% to reach 5,192 rials per share.
The big loser was Zayandeh Rood Housing investment Company plunging 3.86% to reach 9,220 rials per share.
Marun Petrochemical Company, Rail Pardaz Noafarin Company, Khazar Sea Shipping Lines Company and Zayandeh Rood Housing investment Company had the most negative impact on IFX.
Arya Sasol Polymer Company gave the biggest boost to IFX, followed by Pasargad Insurance Company, Saba Tamin Investment Company and Shahid Tondgooyan Petrochemical Company.
