Tehran Stocks Slide 0.4% 

The main index of Tehran Stock Exchange, TEDPIX, shed 5,958.24 points or 0.41% on Sunday to end trade at 1,444,086.

Sell-side pressure swept almost all shares as the TSE’s equal-weighted index, too, lost 0.4%.  Unlike the TEDPIX, the index gives the same weight to all shares irrespective of their market cap. 

Retail trade plunged 18% from the session before to reach 33.87 trillion rials ($116 million). About 7.11 billion shares valued at 43.33 trillion rials ($149.4m) changed hands at TSE for the day.

Bahman Investment Company was the biggest winner as its shares went up 5.99% to 15,560 rials per share.

Rayan Saipa Leasing Company incurred the biggest loss among all TSE-listed companies and went down 5.04% to 1,487 rials per share.

Mobarakeh Steel Company contributed the most to the benchmark's fall, followed by National Iranian Copper Industries Company, Esfahan Oil Refining Company and Islamic Republic of Iran Shipping Lines Company.

Pardis Petrochemical Company gave the biggest boost to the benchmark index, followed by Shiraz Petrochemical Company, Sabanour Mining and Industrial Development Company and Chadormalu Mining & Industrial Company.

 

IFX Down 0.4%

Iran Fara Bourse main index, IFX, lost 84.14 points or 0.43% to close Sunday at 19,305.48.

About 3.58 billion shares and securities valued at 85.68 trillion rials ($295.4m) were traded at the junior equities exchange for the day.

Day Bank had the highest number of traded shares as 378.67 million of its shares worth 273.32 billion rials ($942,503) were traded.

Shiraz Oil Refining Company, Zagros Petrochemical Company, Bahman Diesel Company and Day Bank had the most negative impact on IFX.

Pouya Zarkan Agh Darreh Company gave the biggest boost to IFX, followed by Ghaed Basir Petrochemical Company, Minoo Industrial Group Company and Day Insurance Company.
