Tehran stocks opened the week lower on Saturday amid lingering outflow of liquidity by retail investors.
The main gauge of Tehran Stock Exchange, TEDPIX, lost 10,001.23 points or 0.67% to end at 1,480,051.The TSE’s equal-weighted index was down 0.35%.
More than 67% of share prices ended in loss as the session closed, comprising 393 tickers.
Net capital outflow by retail investors was 2.97 trillion rials ($9.5 million) -- a trend that has lasted for 22 sessions in row.
About 6.12 billion shares valued at 44.01 trillion rials ($142m) changed hands at TSE for the day.
Trading at TSE and junior equities exchange Iran Fara Bourse starts on Saturday and ends Wednesday.
Daroupakhsh Company was the top winner as its shares went up 5.94% to 34,400 rials per share.
Charkheshgar Company incurred the biggest loss among all TSE-listed companies and went down 5.55% to 16,180 rials per share.
Mobarakeh Steel Company contributed the most to the benchmark's fall, followed by Persian Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company, National Iranian Copper Industries Company and Chadormalu Mining And Industrial Company.
Tamin Pharmaceutical Investment Company gave the biggest boost to the benchmark index, followed by Pardis Petrochemical Company, Bandar Abbas Oil Refining Company and Barakat Pharmaceuticals Group Company.

Iran Fara Bourse main index, IFX, lost 55.96 points or 0.28% to close Saturday trade at 19,751.
About 2.93 billion shares and securities worth 190.6 trillion rials ($614m) were traded at the junior equities exchange for the day.
Zagros Petrochemical Company, Minoo Industrial Group Company, Shahid Tondgooyan Petrochemical Company and Iran Fara Bourse had the most negative impact on IFX.
Lavan Oil Refining Company gave the biggest boost to IFX, followed by Arya Sasol Polymer Company, Daana Pharmaceutical Company and MAPNA Asaluyeh Power Generation Company.
