TEDPIX Closes 0.2% Higher 

The benchmark of Tehran Stock Exchange, TEDPIX gained 3,918.61 points or 0.26% on Tuesday to end trade at 1,511,075.

The TSE’s equal-weighted index gained 0.08%, indicating the performance of small caps and penny stocks. 

Retail trade rose 21% on the session before to reach 37.47 trillion rials ($120.8 million). Retail investors lined up largely on the sell side.

The market saw net capital outflow by retail traders for 16 straight sessions with the amount reaching 2.25 trillion rials ($7.2m) on Tuesday. 

About 6.53 billion shares worth 47.23 trillion rials ($152m) changed hands at TSE for the day.

Nirou Moharekeh Industrial Group Company was the biggest winner as its shares went up 5.87% to 3,966 rials per share.

Behran Oil Company incurred the biggest loss among all TSE-listed companies and went down 5.12% to 12,040 rials per share.

Behran Oil Company contributed the most to the benchmark's fall, followed by Iran Khodro Company, Mellat Bank and MAPNA Group.

Mobarakeh Steel Company gave the biggest boost to the benchmark index, followed by Esfahan Oil Refining Company, Bandar Abbas Oil Refining Company and Chadormalu Mining And Industrial Company.

 

IFX Down 0.1%

Iran Fara Bourse main index, IFX, lost 19.63 points or 0.1% to close Tuesday at 20,220.

About 4.61 billion shares and securities worth 143.9 trillion rials ($464m) were traded at the junior equities exchange for the day.

Arya Sasol Polymer Company, Zagros Petrochemical Company, Saba Tamin Investment Company and Minoo Industrial Group Company had the most negative impact on IFX.

Lavan Oil Refining Company gave the biggest boost to IFX, followed by Saman Insurance Company, Iran Cultural Heritage and Tourism Investment Group Company and Daroupakhsh Distribution Company.
