TEDPIX Edges Up 

After sessions of lukewarm trade, Tehran’s share market closed Tuesday in positive territory. 

The main index of Tehran Stock Exchange, TEDPIX, gained 10,369 points or 0.69% to end trade at 1,514,434.

The TSE’s equal-weighted index was up more than 0.9%, giving a better picture on the performance of small caps. 

A total of 388 tickers closed session higher while 237 others  ended lower, representing 38% of the total. 

The market saw capital outflow by retail investors for eleventh session in a row. Net capital outflow was reported at 2.61 trillion rials ($8.5 million) on Tuesday. 

Retail trade dropped 5% to reach 37. 29 trillion rials ($122 m).  

 A total of 6.99 billion shares worth 52.5 trillion rials ($181.01 m) changed hands at TSE for the day.

Darab Cement Company was the top winner as its shares went up 5.96% to 17,780 rials per share.

Asiatech Data Transmission Company incurred the biggest loss among all TSE-listed companies and plunged 4.79% to 15,310 rials per share.

Pars Petrochemical Company contributed the most to the benchmark's fall, followed by Mobile Telecommunication Company of Iran, MAPNA Group Company and Mellat Investment Bank.

Nouri Petrochemical Company gave the biggest boost to the benchmark index, followed by Esfahan Oil Refining Company, Bandar Abbas Oil Refining Company and Social Security Investment Company.

 

IFX Up 0.4%

Iran Fara Bourse main index, IFX, gained 88.02 points or 0.43% to close Tuesday at 20,438.

About 3.06 billion shares and securities worth 76.55 trillion rials ($263.96m) were traded at the junior equities exchange for the day.

Day Bank had the highest number of traded shares as 570.81 million of its shares worth 457.09 billion rials ($1.57 million) were traded.

Gohar Zamin Iron Ore Company, Artawheel Tire Industrial Complex, Iranol Oil Company and Taliseh Nemooneh Dairy Farm Company had the most negative impact on IFX.

Zagros Petrochemical Company gave the biggest boost to IFX, followed by Arya Sasol Polymer Company, Bahman Diesel Company and Pasargad Insurance Company.
