A domestic knowledge-based company has manufactured the rotational molding machine used in the production of plastic bottle caps needed by different industries.
The second-generation rotational molding machine produces all types and sizes of caps for carbonated soft drink and water bottles.
Hossein Ebrahimpour, a member of the board of directors of Pars Machinery Company, noted that this machine is used for continuous molding and compression, the news portal of Vice Presidency for Science and Technology reported.
The machine produces premium quality plastic bottle caps by using polypropylene and polyethylene resin materials.
The domestically-built machine is fully automatic and has an efficiency higher than that of traditional counterparts, in addition to low material consumption and time and energy savings. It is completely computer controlled and has excellent stability and durability.
Ebrahimpour explained that the production of this low-cost machine in the country has prevented a large outflow of foreign currency and unnecessary imports.
Caps made by this machine have high precision, a smooth and beautiful appearance and without an injection point.
Compared to traditional counterparts, this machine’s threefold output and low waste are among its other advantage. It has a comparatively smaller size and requires lower manpower.
In case of special requests by customers for printing signs and logos, it can be achieved with low cost.
Hydraulic rotary presses are specially designed for the production of thermoplastic products using compression. More than 45% of plastic beverage lids are produced by pressing and compression.
Most plastic bottle caps are manufactured through a process known as injection molding. In this process, thermoplastic polymer pellets are heated in a metal hopper to the point that they become soft and flexible.
Iran-Made Tire Drum Better Than Foreign Counterparts
A domestic knowledge-based company has produced tire drums that ensure tire safety and balance, which also determines the final product’s quality, more efficiently than its foreign counterparts.
Novin Fanavaran Neda Company’s tire drum is also more economical than its foreign counterparts.
Tire drum gives shape to tires before they undergo production.
“Tire balance is one of the important issues considered in the manufacturing process to ensure a tire’s longer life and better safety,” Amir Saeed Sanatkar, CEO of the company, was quoted as saying by the news portal of the Vice-Presidency for Science and Technology.
“The process of producing tires for modern cars is much more complicated than that of older cars,” he added.
There are threads on each tire that tolerate tension on the tire’s surface and prevents the premature wear and tear of a tire that occurs over the course of its use.
Tire drum made by Novin Fanavaran Neda also assists a car’s acceleration more than other models.
Measurement, peeling and all processes are handled before its final production and there is no mechanical involvement of the operator, which ensures the product’s high quality.
“The European model of a tire drum costs about €750,000 and the Chinese model costs about $380,000, but the Iranian tire drum costs only $180,000 and is economical,” he said.
The use of the domestic tire drum machinery can earn up to $200,000 per machine, after including the charges for after-sales service and product support.
Sanatkar said exports can definitely help overcome the problems of knowledge-based companies, if facilities are provided to these companies.
Domestic Knowledge-Based Company Supplies Raw Materials to Pharmas
An Iranian knowledge-based company produces ingredients and fillers used by pharmaceutical companies to eliminate the need for imports.
By producing magnesium oxide and calcium carbonate that are widely used in the pharmaceutical industry, Ehya Kimia-e-Shargh Knowledge-Based Company is helping Iranian producers meet domestic needs and enter the markets of neighboring countries.
Fillers are inactive substances used in pharmaceutical compounding to determine the size of finished products.
“These materials, after processing and formulation, become pharmaceutical raw materials. Magnesium oxide is used as a raw material for the production of magnesium hydroxide and magnesium stearate in the production of medicines,” Mosayyeb Jalali, the CEO of the company, said.
This is the only company producing pharmaceutical-grade magnesium oxide in Iran. Its product has a standard and purity higher than the product’s USP (United States Pharmacopeia).
