The mindless way cash subsidies are distributed to the people is unfair, says the head of the Imam Khomeini Relief Foundation (IKRF) Hossein Anvari. Since the payments fail to make a distinction between the rich and the poor, they have not achieved their intended results, he said, quoted by ISNA. Anvari said that non-cash subsidies such as exemption in paying utility bills for “low-consuming” people would have been far more beneficial.
