    77% Rise in Revenues From Sale of Properties

    Revenues earned by the Organization for Collection and Sale of State-Owned Properties of Iran reached 200 billion rials ($840,000) in the first two months of the current year (March 21-May 21), registering a 77% growth compared with the corresponding period of last year. 

    “Two-month sales by the organization stood at 1,890 billion rials [$7.9 million], of which 1,630 billion rials [$6.8 million] were sales of movable properties and 250 billion rials [$1 million] immovable properties – mostly real-estate. Of the total sum, the income generated by the organization hovers around 200 billion rials, i.e., 77% more than in last year’s same period,” Majid Rajabi, an official with the organization, said. 

    Rajabi noted that a total of 10,152 dossiers were prepared by the organization, 10,000 dossiers on movable properties and 151 on immovable properties, showing a 38% increase year-on-year, Fars News Agency reported. 

    “Over 540 billion rials [$2.2 million] worth of goods where disposed during the period under review with the aim of safeguarding public health, showing a 100% year-on-year growth,” he concluded.
