Tehran stocks closed Monday again in the red extending a long streak of losses. The main gauge of Tehran Stock Exchange, TEDPIX, lost 7,920.75 points or 0.65% to end trading at 1,216,874.
In late hours of trade the sell side pressure eased on some large cap stocks, namely mineral and base metal companies.
The value of trade by retail investors jumped 120% to reach 25.3 trillion rials ($100 million) after hitting a two-year low a session earlier.
About 4.15 billion shares valued at 40.30 trillion rials ($161.22 m) changed hands at TSE for the day. Iran Aluminium Company was the biggest winner as its shares went up 5.07% to 17,630 rials per share.
National Investment Company of Iran incurred the biggest loss among all TSE-listed companies and went down 10.36% to 9,260 rials per share.
Persian Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company contributed the most to the benchmark's fall, followed by Mobarakeh Steel Company, National Iranian Copper Industries Company and Golgohar Mining and Industrial Company.
Iran Aluminium Company gave the biggest boost to the benchmark index followed by Kish South Kaveh Steel Company, Mellat Bank and Sadr Tamin Investment Company.

Iran Fara Bourse main index, IFX, lost 41.11 points or 0.23% to close Monday trade at 17,779. About 1.22 billion securities valued at 410.09 trillion rials ($1.64 billion) were traded at the junior exchange for the day.
Zagros Petrochemical Company, Esfahan Steel Company, Shahid Tondgooyan Petrochemical Company and Arya Sasol Polymer Company had the most negative impact on IFX.
Hormozgan Steel Company gave the biggest boost to IFX, followed by Arfa Iron and Steel Company, Iranol Oil company and Kowsar Bahman Investment Management Company.
