Due to lack of rainfall, Teharn faced shortage of water in the summer of the current year (ends March 20). If the high water consumption pattern continues “we will face severe water scarcity in the summer of 2015” and will be forced to ration water supply, warned Hamidreza Janbaz, managing director of Iran Water and Wastewater Company. Due to the sharp decline in rainfall in autumn and winter, the water reservoir levels of Tehran dams especially Latyan and Lar, have reduced greatly, Alef News Agency reported.
