Q1 Trade With US at $15.5m

Iran’s commercial exchanges with the US stood at $15.5 million during the first three months of 2020 to register a 2.65% rise compared wit last year’s corresponding period.

Latest data released by the US Census Bureau show Iran exported $2.9 million worth of goods to the US during the three months to March 31, indicating a 480% year-on-year hike.

Imports from the US stood at $12.6 million in the three months, down by 13.7% YOY.

Bilateral trade during March alone amounted to $5.1 million, down 21.54% YOY.

Exports to the US during March reached $100,000, down 66.67% YOY, while imports reached $5 million, indicating a 19.35% YOY.

Iran-US trade amounted to $74.5 million in 2019, registering an 84.97% decline compared to the year before.

Iran exported only $1.4 million worth of goods to the US last year, down by 98% YOY.

Imports from the US totaled $73.1 million in 2019, down by 82.83% YOY.
