The outbreak of the novel coronavirus disease, COVID-19, has inflicted 34.7 trillion rials ($216 million) in losses to greenhouses and producers of flowers, plants, herbs and mushroom in Iran.
According to Gholamreza Taqavi, an Agriculture Ministry official, many of these businesses often see the highest volume of sales in the two months following the onset of the Iranian New Year that started on March 20. However, this year, demand nosedived due to the spread of COVID-19, Fars News Agency reported.
