The Ministry of Industries, Mining and Trade's review of the first 11 months of last Iranian year (March 21, 2019-Feb. 19) shows production of 31 industrial/mineral products registered growth compared with the corresponding period of the year before.
The highest growth was registered for pesticides, as 34,200 tons were produced during the period, up by 10,400 tons or 44% year-on-year.
Washing machine production stood next with 663,000 units to register a YOY increase of 36.7%.
Production of pickup trucks rose by 30.8% to 61,400 units.
A total of 45.1 billion items of human pharmaceuticals were produced during the period under review, indicating a 26.4% rise YOY.
Cigarette production totaled 50,11, up by 22.9% YOY.
More than 274,200 tons of polyester filament yarn were produced, indicating a 22.4% growth YOY.
Glassware production rose by 19.3% YOY to 485,900 tons, followed by polyester fibers that went up by 19.1% to reach 219,900 tons.
Next were evaporative coolers with 843,200 units, up by 18.4% YOY; followed by 8.58 million electric motors, up 17.8% YOY; particle board with 646,200 cubic meters, up by 15.6% YOY; porcelain ware with 51,000 tons, up 13.3% YOY; tractor with 17,246 vehicles, up 13% YOY; vegetable oil with 1.66 million tons, up 12.4% YOY; and cement with 55.7 million tons, up 12.2% YOY.
Paper production saw an 8.8% YOY rise to reach 931,900 tons.
The production of refrigerators went up 8.1% YOY to 1.06 million units. It was followed by cotton yarn, which increased 7.2% YOY to 215,300 tons; glass sheet, also up 7.5% YOY to 964,100 tons; tiles and ceramics, up 5.5% YOY to 370.23 million square meters; steel products, up 5.5% YOY to 18.86 million tons; crude steel, up 5.2% YOY to 1.67 million tons; sanitaryware, up 4.6% YOY to 96,800 tons; and television, up 3.3% YOY to 741,100 tons.
Auto tires witnessed a 3% growth in production to reach 210,900 tons while carton production amounted to 475,800 tons, up 1.9% YOY.
Leather production went up by 1.1% YOY to reach 43 million square feet, followed by petrochemicals that went up by 0.9% to 49.7 million tons.
Copper cathode output stood at 226,800 tons, up 0.8% YOY followed by fibers with 1.11 million cubic meters, up by 0.7% YOY and footwear with 124.3 million pairs to go up 0.2% YOY.
