Tehran Stocks Close Slightly Higher

The main index of Tehran Stock Exchange TEDPIX gained 438.76 points, or 0.14%, on Wednesday to end trading week at 307,094.1.

About 2.21 billion shares valued at 11.55 trillion rials ($100.92 million) changed hands for the day.

Trading at TSE and over-the-counter Iran Fara Bourse starts on Saturday and ends Wednesday.

Luleh Va Mashinsazi Iran Company (manufacturer of basic metals) was the biggest winner as its shares went up 5.18% to 13,094 rials per share.

Marvdasht Sugar Company incurred the biggest loss among all TSE-listed companies and went down 4.9% to 23,079 rials per share.

Jam Petrochemical Company contributed the most to the benchmark's fall, followed by National Iranian Copper Industries Company, Esfahan Oil Refining Company and Parsian Bank.

MAPNA Group gave the biggest boost to the benchmark index, followed by Pars Petrochemical Company, Mines and Metals Development Investment Company and Persian Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company.

The Price Index gained 117.60 points, or 0.14% to close at 82,273.4.

The First Market Index increased by 12.32 points, or 0.01% to post 222,696.3. Second Market Index increased by 2,276.22 points, or 0.36% to reach 626,755.2.

Industry Index increased by 464.02 points or 0.17% to register 275,293.0. Free Float Index was up 573.73 points to hit 358,039.95.

TSE 30 went down 25.17 points to settle at 13,190.6 and the TSE 50 ended 10.67 points lower to finish at 11,965.8.

 

IFX Up 0.26%

Iran Fara Bourse main index IFX gained 10.24 points or 0.26% to close Wednesday trade at 3,932.45.

About 867.34 million securities valued at 5.57 trillion rials ($48.72 million) were traded at the over-the-counter exchange for the day.

Marun Petrochemical Complex, Damavand Power Generation Company, Kerman Development Investment Company and Shiraz Oil Refining Company had the most negative impact on IFX.

Hormozgan Steel Company gave the biggest boost to IFX, followed by MAPNA Asaluyeh Power Generation Company and Middle East Mines & Mineral Industries Development Holding Company.
