A meeting between head of Passive Defense Organization of Iran Colonel Gholamreza Jalali and head of Food and Drug Administration Dr. Rasoul Dinarvand was recently held to devise ways to develop better coordination and cooperation to ensure the health and safety of food products imported into the country. In order to achieve the goal, three working groups were planned comprising experts from the two sides, and MoUs in this regard will be signed by the end of the current year in March, the Persian language weekly ‘Salamat’ reported. “The two organizations share common responsibility to ensure safety of food and drugs for consumers,” Dinarvand noted.
