The representative of the United Nations Children’s Fund in Iran, Ezio Gianni Murzi, has hailed the country’s Ministry of Cooperatives, Labor and Social Welfare for its fight against different forms of child poverty.
He viewed cooperation between his organization and the Iranian government as effective and said: “To clear the hurdles in the way of children’s education and implement timely interventions, the reasons why they are kept out of school should be detected first,” adding that the move needs close collaboration between the two ministries of education and labor.
“UNICEF is ready to help other nations take a leaf out of Iran’s book, given the country’s considerable achievements in improving children’s welfare,” he added.
