On the sidelines of the 25th International Financial Congress in St. Petersburg, Akbar Komijani, the deputy governor of Central Bank of Iran met the Vice Governor of Central Bank of Russian Federation Dmitry Skoblekin.
The two sides expressed their determination on deepening banking ties and promote trade between the two countries. According to the CBI public relations office, in the meeting, Skoblekin announced his country’s support for Iranian endeavors to raise conformity with international norms and procedures and proposed closer cooperation with Iran in regional groups.
The senior Russian official also voiced support for Russian commercial banks in Iran and said that some of the biggest banks in Russia are working to establish correspondence relations with their Iranian counterparts.
