About $4.9 million worth of Iranian-made refrigerators were exported in the first ten months of the current Persian calendar year (ending 20 March), recording an increase of 35% compared with the similar period last year, ISNA quoted Secretary of the Iranian Association of Home Appliance Manufacturers, Habibollah Ansari, as saying on Saturday. “There are currently 140 manufacturing units across the country,” he said, noting that nearly 1.4 million refrigerators were made during the period. “Last year, only 819,000 refrigerators were made in the country,” he added.
