Sabre Team Climbs World Ranking

Iran sabre fencing team won the silver medal of the Coupe du Monde par equipes in Warsaw, Poland, February 25, and improved its place in the sabre category of world ranking from eighth to fifth place.
According to World Fencing Federation, Fie.org, in the tournament, world No. 1 in sabre ranking South Korea finished first with 64 points and world No. 3 Hungary came in third with 40 points.
Iranians Ali Pakdaman, Mohammad Rahbari, Mojtaba Abedini and Farhad Baher-Arasbaran won the team silver and bagged 52 sharp points to add to their points for the 2017-18 season which have reached the general 264 points.
