Blind Evolution

Painter and sketch artist Erfan Jamshidi is showing what it would look like if evolution, this gradual change of genetic composition, approached not ideal forms but flaws and freakish anomalies. ‘Blind Evolution’ is the title of Jamshidi’s latest exhibit. It opened September 1 at Azad Art Gallery and will run through September 6. Visiting hours are 4 to 8 pm, Gallery Info reported. The paintings and drawings depict monstrous creatures that are the outcome of an evolution disrupted by something outside nature. However, the forms and figures still have a semblance of Paleolithic cave paintings. Azad Art Gallery is located at No. 5, Salmas Square, Golha Square, Fatemi Street.
