During the first four months of the current Iranian year (March 21-July 22), 905 TEU (20-foot equivalent unit) containers were loaded and unloaded in Iran’s southern port of Bandar Lengeh, showing a 214% rise compared with the similar period of a year before, the head of Bandar Lengeh Ports and Maritime Organization said. Overall, 404,700 tons of goods were loaded and unloaded, with 404,381 tons pertaining to non-oil and 319 tons to crude consignments, he was quoted as saying by Roads and Urban Development Ministry’s news portal. During the period under review, 604,247 tons of non-oil goods were exported and 70,270 tons were imported via the harbor, showing a 65% rise and a 2% decline respectively year-on-year.
