Iraqi Ministry of Culture opened a painting exhibition by two Iranian artists in Baghdad on Saturday (Sept. 19) in a bid to boost cultural ties between the two neighbor countries.
The exhibit showcases 15 works by each of the painters, Abdolhamid Qadirian, also organizer of the program, and veteran artist Kiomars Qurchian, Mehr News Agency reported.
The exhibition will be held in other Iraqi cities as well, Qadirian said.
He said the event “is a beginning for more joint activities” to convey cultural and artistic experience of Iranian artists to the art society of the war-stricken neighboring country.
Qadirian has held two workshops earlier in Iraq which were welcomed by Iraqi artists and art fans.
