Flights between the city of Abadan in the southwestern Iranian province of Khuzestan and Kuwait have been relaunched by Iran Air after a one-year hiatus.
According to Hesam Qorban-Ali, spokesman of Iran’s flag carrier, an Airbus 321, with a capacity of 194 passengers, will depart from Abadan at 3:30 p.m. for Kuwait every Tuesday, IRNA reported.
He noted that if the service is well received by passengers, the number of weekly flights will increase to three after the end of the Haj pilgrimage.
Meanwhile, Iran Air has started operating Ahvaz-Shiraz and Urmia-Mashhad domestic flights, the report said.
