Eurozone consumers became more upbeat about their prospects in October, a sign that they remain untroubled by levels of political uncertainty that are high and rising across the currency area, Dow Jones reported. The European Commission said its measure of consumer confidence across the 19-member eurozone rose to minus 8.0 in October from minus 8.2 in September. It was the second straight month of increase, but left the measure below the level recorded in June, the month when the UK voted to leave the European Union.
