Raja Passenger Train Company has launched a five-star train called “Zendegi (Life)” between Rasht, the capital city of Gilan Province, and Mashhad, the capital of Khorasan Razavi Province, with the investment of the Social Security Organization on Wednesday.
The luxury train features the only double deck dining car in Iran's rail network, plus travel-friendly four passenger wagons, specialty sleep services and quality audiovisual systems with access to Wi-Fi and Internet Protocol television. Passengers will be hosted by trained and professional car attendants, News.mrud.ir reported.
RAJA was established in November 1996 as an affiliate of the Islamic Republic of Iran Railways for improving the quality and scope of railroad passenger services. It was transferred to the Tourism Holding of Social Security Organization (better known by its Persian acronym HEGTA) in March 2010 as part of IRIR’s outstanding debt to the organization.
