Veteran footballer Seyyed Jalal Hosseini renewed his time with Persepolis in an open contract with no price included saying he will wrap up his dignified football career with the Reds.

According to IRNA, the best defender of the past Persian Gulf Pro League season has not mentioned the value or the end date in his contract.

“I will play as long as I can in Persepolis,” said the Persepolis captain. “I will serve the club and bid farewell to the professional career in the Reds’ jersey.”

Hosseini, 36, started his football career in 2002 with Malavan Bandar Anzali FC, the club of his hometown Bandar Anzali in north Iran.

Saipa, Sepahan and Naft-e Tehran were his later domestic destinations before he had a two-year spell at Al-Ahli FC of Qatar.

He has the honor of being the only player in the history of the Persian Gulf Pro League to win the league title with three teams namely, Saipa (2006-07), three times in row with Sepahan (2009-10, 2010-11, and 2011-12) as well as two consecutive titles with Persepolis in the 2016-17 and 2017-18 seasons.

He won the best defender award in the league four times; two times with Saipa and twice during his stint with Persepolis.
