FIFA will be streaming the FIFA eWorld Cup live on its official website which takes in Studio Paris this weekend (May 19-20).

According to the FIFA.com, featuring 16 professional eSports football teams, the eClub World Cup is a central part of the EA SPORTS FIFA 18 Global Series on the Road to the FIFA eWorld Cup, virtual football’s equivalent of the FIFA World Cup.

Local favorites Paris Saint-Germain and holders Brondby are among the clubs taking part, with each consisting of a PlayStation 4 and Xbox One player.

The draw took place on May 14 with both the local side and the reigning champions paired together in Group B.

In Group A of the games are teams, Method, Hashtag Academy, Arte Virtual FC, FC Basel 1893, Unilad, BU E-Sports, Transfermarkt eSports, and FC Schalke 04 eSports.

Eight other teams namely Mkers, Team Envy, Falcons eSport, Brondby IF, Lightning Pandas, Xolos de Tijuana, VFL Bochum 1848, and PSG eSports are placed in Group B.

Those 16 teams will be competing for a prize pool of $50,000 and, more importantly, four spots at the EA SPORTS FIFA 18 Global Series Playoffs.

The EA SPORTS FIFA 18 Global Series is a multi-tiered worldwide competition.

In the first stage, players will participate in a mass array of online and live events, including FUT Champions Cups, the FIFA eClub World Cup, Licensed Qualifying Competitions, and Official League Partner Qualifying Competitions.

The journey continues in the next stage of competition as the top 128 players in the world will advance to two blockbuster Playoff Events.

At the playoffs’ conclusion, the millions that started their journey on November 3 will be down to 32 as the finalists compete at the FIFA eWorld Cup 2018 Grand Final in August.

The winner of the FIFA eWorld Cup 2018 Grand Final will be crowned the undisputed FIFA 18 World Champion.
