Neymar was taken off after injuring his ankle against Marseille at Parc des Princes.

The decision has been made on Neymar’s injury and he will undergo surgery, meaning he will be out for two months as a result.

A sprained ankle and cleft of the fifth metatarsal of his right foot that occurred on Sunday against Marseille, could even put his participation at the World Cup in doubt should he not recover sufficiently well.

According to Globoesporte in Brazil, Neymar will not be able to face Real Madrid on March 6 and will not make a playing return for Paris Saint-Germain until May, one month before the start of the World Cup.

There will also be the final games in Ligue 1 to play as well as the Champions League, if his team is still in contention.

The place or the doctor who will carry out the operation has not yet been decided.
