A new project has been announced by Real Madrid which sees them become the first sports club in the world to have their own 360º and virtual reality channel.

This is through a collaboration with The Dream VR, a company which boasts the world’s largest virtual reality network, with a reach of more than 180 countries, Marca reported.

The new project will allow their fanbase of over 560 million people to enjoy the exclusive live content.

Thanks to their platform and patented native player, The Dream VR - whose team are based in Madrid, Barcelona and Miami - offer Real Madrid the widest possible reach for their new 360º content strategy.

Los Blancos will start broadcasting content on The Dream VR starting Monday and they will offer new content every month.

The download of the app on mobile devices (iOS and Android) and Samsung’s Smart TV is free, as well as on the virtual reality platforms.

Their virtual reality platform already has more than two million downloads and is also available on the main 360º virtual reality platforms, including Samsung Smart TV, Apple TV, iOS, Android, Google Daydream, Oculus Rift, Samsung Gear, HTC Live, Topying or Pico.
