Cristiano Ronaldo currently earns about $26 million a year (with bonuses it reaches $31m), but Real Madrid is prepared to raise his salary to $37m a year from summer, putting him alongside Neymar in terms of annual earnings.
According to ABC, the player has already informed Los Blancos that his desire is to continue at the club no matter what happens, and that he also understands that now is not the ideal time to modify his contract.
The $11m uplift is a sign of absolute confidence in him for Real, and as a result, Ronaldo will sign off without a problem.
