Andy Murray is still on the mend after his match with Roger Federer and is expected to be back fit for the Australian Open in January.

According to Express.co.uk, the Brit has not played competitive tennis since crashing out of Wimbledon in the quarterfinals this summer.

He made an appearance in a charity event in Glasgow this month, where he played Roger Federer but lost to the Swiss legend.

He appeared to be moving well across the court during the event as he recovers from his hip problem.

His mother Judy Murray confirmed he is on course to make his comeback in the New Year. “He’s good. He’s on the mend,” she said. “He’s doing his rehab religiously as you would expect. He’s getting himself ready for the next season.”
