Meaningless Dialogue
A stage reading of the play ‘Waiting for Godot’, written by Irish avant-garde novelist, playwright, theater director, poet, and literary translator Samuel Beckett, will be held at Nasser Khosrow Theater Hall on April 25. With the 1953 play, Beckett popularized the Theater of Absurd, a form of drama that emphasizes the absurdity of human existence by employing disjointed, repetitious, and meaningless dialogue, purposeless and confusing situations, and plots that lack realistic or logical development.
