The paintings of Reza Bigonah, an Iranian artist living in Canada, was put on display at Mojdeh Art Gallery in Tehran on December 6.

It is the artist’s seventh solo exhibit, most of which were held in Toronto, Honaronline reported.

Commenting on his paintings, Bigonah said, “my paintings are influenced by events or experiences that move me into expressing them. Even though the form and subject of my paintings are mostly influenced by immigration and immersion in two cultures, their overall theme is human nature in its broad sense”.

While each period of “my works seems different and independent from each other, they all share the same motif that reflect my deep thoughts,” he added.

Bigonah, 47, earned his master’s degree in theater directing from Tarbiat Modarres University in 1993. He has directed fifteen plays and illustrated four children’s books.

The painting exhibition will run through December 12 at the gallery at No. 27, 18th Eastern St., N. Allameh Ave., Sa’adatabad neighborhood.
